Man trekking to work in the snowstorm starts a snowball fight with an entitled neighbor blocking the only exit to his apartment complex: ‘Got him to move’

A man's got enough problems if he has to trek through arctic snowstorms to get to work, but after finding his neighbor parked and blocking the only exit, something snapped. 

People are up to the gills in snow right now, and it's no longer pleasant. 

If you're living anywhere in North America, Level 3 or 4 snowstorms are bombarding your city, filling your streets with arctic mess, and freezing solid any means of transportation. Do bosses care that their employees need ice picks and mountaineering gear to clock in for their minimum-wage shift? Of course not. Naturally, that means a lot of people are forced, against their will, to emerge from their homes, which are so snowed in that they could plausibly be categorized as igloos. What was once a winter wonderland snow day has gone on far too long for the corporate machine to stalemate any longer, and despite similar or worsening snow conditions outside, people are being forced to come back to work. Lovely! 

As if our jobs are worth more than our lives out on the black ice, many working folks are bundling up, braving the outdoors, and spending hours digging out their cars in order to head to their shifts. Nearly frostbitten fingers and iceberg toes are not exactly cause for a good, cheerful attitude in the morning. There's only so much your morning coffee can accomplish. 

Unluckily for the entitled neighbor in this next story, he found himself face-to-face with a man who was at his wintry wits' end.

  • With hands and cheeks colder than Antarctica itself, this working man was poised to explode that one fateful morning. After spending what seemed like a lifetime digging his car out from under the snow, moving snow banks out of the way, and shoveling 10 tons of frozen slop, he was finally ready to embark on his commute. However, despite the snow chains, the all-terrain settings, and his car's 4WD, the biggest obstacle that lay in his path wasn't a treacherously frozen tundra, but a neighbor's car, parked horizontally across the exit to the apartment complex. 

    With patience thinner than the ice on which he drove, the man snapped. Funnily enough, his road rage outburst was actually sort of wholesome, as he decided to quench his fiery hot fury with a bundle of snow, turning the tables on the neighbor with an onslaught of hoots, hollers, and perfectly crafted snowballs. 

    Let the snowball fight champion decide who's right or wrong in this neighborhood drama, but know that my money is on the guy who just spent 45 minutes digging out his car.

  • Then I called the apartment maintenance company hoping for a tow and they said they'd send someone out.

  • DonNibross Did something similar about five years ago. I'd shoveled out about a foot of snow from the shared driveway two days before and had promised a friend a ride to an appointment that day only to find a car I didn't recognize had blocked in my car. It was clean of snow, must've been there less than an hour. Laid on the horn, knocked on doors, everyone said it wasn't them. So I pulled out my shovel and started shoveling out other areas.   • Necessary_Bother3993 That's so weird he was in the car but didn't move when you honked. Tow trucks can't legally tow when someone is in the car, so the best next best would have been police if you knew he was inside. Luckily it didn't come down to that!

I live in Vancouver and we never get snow. 2 years ago we go over a foot in one day and it was chaos. I was shovelling a spot in front of my house as my wife was coming home from a long day at work.   • ChiefSlug30 Not this weekend's dump, but back a few weeks, someone parked almost across my driveway (but not quite, barely) and there was another car on the other side of the driveway that was also too close to my driveway, but slightly better. As I shoveled off the sidewalk and the end of the driveway, I threw a few shovels worth on their hood and windshield.   • LogicalStomach Douchebags who feel entitled to block egress and park in other people's driveways know exactly what they're doing. More than once, a shiny SUV has parked in my driveway and completely blocked me from leaving. They were visiting next door, and didn't feel like parking on the street. Knocking on doors, asking people, and honking my horn didn't get any response. Once I started squirting their car with a hose the driver came running out to move her car so fast.
